Let the Weekend Begin
an e-mail Improv with colors

Hi Trio,
It's the monster from the color Maroon.

Hi Lenny,
Haha! I think green is about all that's left!

Hi Trio,
Looks like I have red.And the e-mail saga continues.

Hi Lenny,
Well, I will switch to blue ink and hope you can read all this! Haha! This is our little e-mail experiment...

Hi Lenny,
Hi Trio,
Going back to work this week I miss my afternoon naps.I've been in a lazy mood lately.
I guess there's going to be vibration four.I'm waitng to see how it turns out.Looks like you've got more action figures.
Your voices always crack me up.
I liked "Baby, I'm Like An Acrobat". I can't get over how you come up with the dialog. What an imagination!

I actually have a small "cheat" that I use. Care to guess what it is? I will give you a clue.
You can't use it for stage work.

If It's not something written down I would guess maybe something you look at.I was thinking recently about looking at a painting I did and using the title to think up the story.

I put some intersting words on a card on the keyboard so that if I get stuck, I can slip them in while the wheels of my mind slowly grind away. "Abyss" and "quagmire" are two of the words in "Acrobat". I like that picture idea! I think I will try that too.

I've got a method I should use but don't use it.I'm always writing down clever lines I hear.Mostly from T.V.Some I think of and write down. Here are a few.
Champagne life style with a beer budget.Fortune shines on some, laughs at others. Fail to plan, plan to fail. Get fame and rub it all over myself. A gift is given without consideration. That's what makes it a gift.Keep your eye on the donut not the hole. You don't have to purchase dreams.A rising tide raises all boats.I've got nothing to hide, I'm an open faced sandwich. How do you judge art against art?

Hahaha! Those are great, Lenny. I like to write down that kind of stuff too. One of my all time favorites is "I only have a small flute, but I try to hit the right note."
Here's a saying I have on a bumper sticker on my van:I had Sex Once It tastes like chicken.
Very inspiring.I can see a future improv course called Trio 101.
I can imagine there's gonna be a Vibration 4.It's becoming a cliffhanger series. Looks like you acquired some more action figures.
Well, there should be a Vibration 4, but we are getting very close to the point in a project where I burn out and switch to a new project! Hahaha!
I know the feeling. Maybe someday there could be a Project Trio where budding film makers have to submit their version of Vibration Four to get chosen.Save all those action figures they could be worth something for the film makers trying to find the figures for their versions. Wait a minute.I just got an idea. Let's have the project have to be really actors instead of using action figures. That may an idea in it's self. I just got a brain storm. Have your movies redone with real actors or the charactors based on your movies. Hey, Lenny, real actors is a great idea. Can we pay their salaries out of your bank account? Haha! But I have always thought that around a university with a big drama department, you could probably snag some free acting talent. It's a good idea....Pay!We don't get professional actors. We get who ever is the best,is willing and works for free.Let it be known that until we start making any money we're non-profit. At the very least we'ld get your movies seen and maybe sell some cds.
I agree! Free! That's easy to say, but where are we gonna find these "actors" who will work for nothing? I still like the student idea. They aren't the "best", but they might be motivated.
The students are the best idea.I just have to get out there and get a place and place an ad or get the word out there.
The improv class started this Tuesday. It's gonna be fun. I know a few of the students.there are mostly women. Ou,my favorite mix. Mmmmm... I think it finally dawned on me why you are attending all these classes and workshops. Heeheehee...Where else can I find women to hang around with that have the basics I admire. A job. An interest in improv. A life. Besides I've got to be out there where the action is looking for actors and actresses for roles in these Itty Bitty Movies. All right! Starlets! This is gonna make it all worthwhile! Only the best with Rufus Bing Production." What we may lack in production we make up with Heart".
Got to have heart!
Everything we do also is original, very unique, sincere, and genuine.
That's more than a lot of things happening out there.

It's a cheap price to pay to hang out with creative, motivated and interesting people. Or is that curvaceous, soft, and appealing people? Haha! It my duty to save some of these women from a life of possible dullness and boredom. It's a curse I've had to learn to live with. Good for you, Lenny! I admire a man with a generous heart... It just pains me to see so many suffering from the regular hum drum of daily life. If you're born with a gift you might as well give it out whenever you can. Cause that's the type of guy I am.
Hooray for Lenny! I hope you get as many chances to give it out as you possibly can!
Here's another saying I had written down "Luck is when opportunity meets preparation". Here's one rule I remember from acting "Anything could become a possibilty.
It's not what I expected. The teacher is very nice. What a bunch of sweethearts there are. It's going to be scenes from plays that we'll get and scene patners so it looks like I'll be learning lines after all.
The Search Engine is up on my home page but it still needs some work to function the way I hoped.I'm having a mailer order section put on the home page sometime soon.
My Sidney Hipple Art site is getting tons of activity.
Wow! That is active. That's the ArtWanted site, right?
I need to visit there again.
Here's the stats for Sidney Hipple:

Here's the stats for the other site:

I changed the name from Lenny Hall to Sidney Hipple two. Over 11,000 individual views so far this month.
I did a few more paintings but I'm still trying to find something new that I haven't done yet.
The thing that really helps is uploading new paintings at the first of the month. I have over 200 on Sidney Hipple. My thinking always is The more there is the better chance visitors will find something they like. I'm sure Artwanted.com is like mp3.com with artists checking out other artists and maybe not much from outside the network.
I may just make up some t-shirts myself sometime with the current paintings. I've still got a bunch of the iron on stock. I just need to load up on ink.

I've got a surprise for you. A possible prop and collectors item for a future movie. I think I really out did myself this time. I'm looking forward to it. It's a Belated birthday gift. Let's make it Christmas, then...
How about pre-Halloween?
I've been doing some recording trying to find the right programs in the Karma for my Halloween gig. Not much progress but I'm finding new songs to record.
I was hoping to clean and organize my basement while I was on vacation but never got around to it. I have my back up false teeth that I need to find before the ones I have break again. Maybe this weekend. I've been super lazy lately. The tube has taken control.
All hail the tube, our lord and master!
I want to do some paintings this weekend. I'm finding some interesting features on the Art Wanted site that seems to help my activity.
Someone stopped over recently that lived in S.C.Turns out it was Columbia.
That's interesting. Did they recognize my voice? Haha! I guess they were surprised when you pointed out EarWorm to them (assuming, of course, that you had the opportunity to do that).
They were born up here and lived down there for seven or eight years and moved back up here so their voice still has that Yankee twang.I didn't get a chance to show them anything of yours but I'll have to get a Other Orchestra cd to them. They don't have a computer. Most of my friends don't have computers and the ones that do don't go on line that much. Ain't that the truth? Even people I know who have computers don't use them in such a way as to ever see or hear anything I do on the internet. But I like it that way. I don't have to feel self-conscious about my stuff. I got on the web to have a web site where my friends could see or hear what I'm doing. Not many do.Good thing there's a general public. It gives me the ability to give the story of my life in music, stories, and paintings and not worrying about anyone I know being put off by if they find that they are mentioned.I've got nothing to hide anyways.
That's right. I forgot about some of your stuff using real people and naming names. Wow! I could never do that. I am the opposite. I don't want to be biographical at all. But I realized the other day that you can't entirely hide yourself, even with different voices. Little pieces of my life somehow sneak into things anyway. Haha!
I've got some stories I've been thinking about using friends but changing the names.Although some of my stories are about me or based on parts of me I usually leave out some details that some people may not need to know.Every new process seems to operate differently.
The Doris Lessing you mentioned is the one I was thinking about. I saw her years ago went she gave a talk along with some other people in Boston. I've been finding time to reading more which is good. I'm so back logged with books I've gotten that sometimes I give them away before I have a chance to read them just to cut down on what I've got to read.
I'm trying to find a program that I may have to make calenders with my paintings or get one. Calenders make great Christmas gifts and they can't be that much to make. That would be a nice gift.

Do you plan to print the pictures on your printer? I was really impressed with the print quality of your printer when you sent me the thumbnails and also those CD labels. The last time I used a computer printer it was one of those B&W dot matrix printers. Obviously printers have improved quite a bit! Haha!
I've got the first printer I got when I bought my computer in 1999 but it still runs good.It was a meduim end when I got it.It's a Hewlett Packard 882c.There are cheaper and better ones now. That's the beauty of a printer at home and a computer. You don't need to go out to create something interesting.
After I find a program that I can use I'll get semi gloss paper. It's cheaper and still looks good.Someone told me Staples does them but it cost $19.00 each.I should be able to do them for less than $1.00 a peice.
Dave Rawlings wife Beth works at a Kinkos and had some painting blown up and on glossy paper. They are stopping down tonite and I'm gonna give Beth the outline for the company business Rufus Bing Productions to have cards made up.She can do them for free and I just need about 100 for now.It will have my name, the company name,my e-mail address.the web site and my phone number. You never know when you might bump into some poor deserving soul who's bored by the ordinary and common and could use a taste of the Hybrid World of Rufus Bing Productions. Be careful you don't burn out anyone's brain cells.
Not every poor soul can take the full experience of the Hybrid World. That why I've got different size doses prepared so they don't get overwhelmed. You're right in most cases that "A Little Hybrid goes a long way".
Which is a good thing, because you can carry a lifetime supply in a small suitcase, plus it maximizes our profits because it doesn't take much raw materials to produce it.
Good thing it can always be watered down for the most desirable and increased for the ones clogged brains full of preconceptions and dullness.
Here's a saying Keith Johnstone said at an improv workshop that I attended years ago ."Dull people decide to be dull"

Lenny
See you later ............. Trio
